The ASIS International 6th European Security Conference in Berlin.

Day 1 Sunday 25th March

The ASIS International 6th European Security Conference in Berlin started on Sunday the 25th March with an afternoon certification session with the UK Chapter's own Barry Walker CPP. Barry conducted a two and half hour session on the benefits of certification, providing delegates with a valuable insight in to the certification process. This session was a first for the European Security Conference and was attended by a variety of ASIS International members intending to partake in the certification program.

The calm before the storm……

All exhibitors also had an early start to ensure that the stands were fully in place prior to the SRVP welcome reception. Two companies who actively support the UK Chapter were also hard at work in ensuring that they were up and running before the opening.

SRVP Welcome Reception

As always the SRVP Reception was well attended by a variety of delegates, meeting up with old friends and making new ones. This personifies one of the many benefits of membership of ASIS International, networking with colleagues from diverse environments, sharing experiences, generally catching up with issues affecting different people and most of all enjoying the company of people who are passionate about the security profession.

As a final note an early night was had by all the UK Chapter delegates.
