National Victims Association

The presentation of the ASIS Mervyn David Award and the acceptance speech by recipient David Hines of the National Victim’s Association can now be seen on You Tube.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BPfSvHDeqY&feature=youtu.be

Also included is the text speech from Baroness Angela Harris, ASIS Patron, that was read out by ASIS Chairman, Mike Alexander.  Lady Harris is also a Patron of the NVA.

The NVA is desperate to raise funds for its annual conference, which includes, respite care, support and counselling for those bereaved by homicide.  Currently, the conference is unlikely to go ahead, because of lack of funding: the charity received very little from central government.

ASIS has set up a donations page on the Just Giving site and hopes that both individuals and companies will feel able to support this charity.
