Attached is a report from one of our 'senior' and well respected members, specialising in Crisis Management.

Bruce has very kindly taken the time to identify the latest moves in the US on CM, for the benefit of 208 members and he has also offered to hold a conference call for all interested parties.

On August 3rd, President Bush signed into law a new "corporate crisis certification" that you need to know about.

208 Members are being emailed a copy of the Bill to which I have added comments and highlighted pertinent points of this new Federal law for easy and rapid understanding. I have recently been appointed to the Crisis Management Task Group for NFPA 1600 (the present certifying standard) and can serve as a conduit of communication to and from those who will be involved in developing the corporate certification process.

Phone Discussion:
At the bottom of the attachment, I have offered to conduct phone-based discussions with interested parties. This will be a good way to begin a collective response of questions and recommendations from corporate leaders - pro and con.
